Perfect for young families – with a cot room adjacent to the Master Bedroom.

Ground floor: In the hallway you’ll find a bookcase equipped with local information and reading material for our guests. Cloakroom/W.C. After a busy day exploring you can relax in the beamed sitting/dining room in front of the range fire, (please bring your own smokeless fuel). The fully-equipped kitchen has a breakfast area and French doors opening onto the patio. CD player, WiFi, TV and DVD in the living room (due to new regulations please bring your own DVDs).

First floor: Double bedroom with 5′ bed, en-suite shower room/W.C. and door to cot room. Twin bedded room with en-suite bathroom/W.C. (shower attachment).

Outside: There is a fully enclosed garden with a south-east facing terrace. Ideal for your little ones (and dogs).

Getting there

Humberside Airport 15 miles/20 mins drive. Doncaster/Sheffield Airport 1 hour drive. Main line rail connections with Newark (45 miles/1 hour drive) via Market Rasen (12 miles/20 mins) and Doncaster (40 miles/1 hour 10 mins) via Barnetby (15 miles/25 mins). Motorways to North via M180 (15 miles/20 mins) to M18 North to M62/A1 or South to M1. A1 at Newark (45 miles/ 60 mins), South to London and M11/M25 etc.

From the North

  1. A1/M62/M18/M180
  2. Exit for Humberside Airport
  3. Through Melton Ross, past Airport
  4. Turn right at crossroads to Caistor
  5. Continue 4/5 miles, merge once with minor road, merge again with major road
  6. Arrive at A46, go straight over staggered crossroads (left, then right)
  7. onto B1225 signposted to Horncastle
  8. Go less than a mile, left at crossroads to Rothwell
  9. Into village, left past pub, then take right fork to Croxby
  10. Go 1-2 miles, staggered crossroads, go straight over (right then left)
  11. Down hill, up hill through Croxby, come into Thorganby
  12. Continue to follow road round to the right, leaving farmyard on left. Pass old Tel. kiosk, come out of village, brick barn on left, brick house on right.
  13.  Take right turn on low road to Swinhope, grass triangle on your left, go for 100 yds towards Swinhope, Marris Cottage is on the right.

From the South

  1. A1
  2. A46
  3. Newark to Lincoln to Middle Rasen, turn right onto A631/A46
  4. Turn right into Market Rasen on A631
  5. Go through Market Rasen until Traffic Lights turn left onto B1203
  6. Follow road through Tealby and Binbrook
  7. 3 miles out of Binbrook pass a PH on right hand side “Click’em Inn”
  8. 300 yds past pub turn left at the crossroads (main rd continues right and Hatcliffe is straight ahead)
  9. Up the hill and down the hill into Thorganby
  10. At the bottom of the hill turn left then leaving a grass triangle on right, onto the low road to Swinhope. (If you reach the brick house with brick barn opposite you have missed the left turn).
  11.  Follow road for 100 yds and cottage is on your right hand side.
